Eight years after moving on from a successful career in London Ad agencies to co-found Voice Group, Nick’s life is still driven by ideas creation. He was until 2017, Creative Director & head Graphic Designer, leading all new projects and overseeing all output.
Having built his expertise in advertising and art direction as brand guardian for blue chips such as Budweiser and Sony, Nick co-founded his own agency, Voice Group, in 2008. He’s since steered them through many high-profile creative projects for clients such as Beach Retreats, St Austell Brewery, Fifteen Cornwall, Rick Stein and Looe Music Festival.
He designed one of Cornwall’s first mobile websites for Adrenalin Quarry in 2009, and has been instrumental in fine-tuning the Voice Group creative process – the steps they follow to ensure that briefs are met to the best of our ability, through clear, engaging print-to-digital design & architecture. Key to this is directing a team of complementary skills all under one roof, which kept tight control on the product and improves efficiency for clients.
With the rise of digital design and marketing, Nick has adapted and perfected his own skill set to help businesses showcase their brand online and in print. His fundamental rule is to start with a great idea, then apply it across all media, whether digital or traditional, ensuring brand message stays at the heart of every campaign. He’s fully adept in a varied range of design and web design applications, which he uses to develop stunning, compelling architecture for front-end, consumer facing navigation, and custom control for bespoke WordPress content management systems.
Recently being shortlisted for packaging in the 2017 design week awards for his work with the Column bakehouse.
Outside work, he takes any opportunity to indulge his passion for making. Individual, handmade furniture & lighting. Building things from stuff! Creating functional interiors often with clever dual purpose. Fitting the gym in too is essential for keeping the mind active.
